The fire brigade says that the forest fire in Overloon appears to be under control. The location will be monitored closely for the next few hours to ensure that the fire does not spread further. It concerns an area of 300 by 150 meters.
The fire brigade is on site to extinguish the fire, the location is on the Houtklef in Overloon. That is close to the A73. Traffic on the highway is affected by the smoke. The municipality of Land van Cuijk advises residents not to look and to close doors and windows if they are bothered by the smoke.
The fire brigade is on site with three tanker sprayers, a large water transport and two water trucks.
