Straw bales were set on fire on Sunday evening along various roads in the province of Groningen, including the A7, N46 and N360, which had been placed in meadows and roadsides. In several fires, signs were placed in the ground, on which the text: ‘smoke Rutte out’ could be read. Both the fire brigade and the police were deployed to extinguish the fires.
