04.30: Cars on fire in Stadskanaal

At a company on Julianastraat in Stadskanaal, two cars were destroyed by fire on Saturday morning around 4.30 am. The cause of the fire is unknown. The fire service had to be called in to extinguish the fire

04.40: Man injured in conflict in Onstwedde

A man was assaulted on Saturday morning during a conflict in a home annex business premises on Ter Wuppingerweg in Onstwedde.

Police received a report of a home invasion around 4:40 a.m. Once officers arrived on the scene, it turned out to be a conflict. According to a police spokesman, the victim was ‘severely assaulted’.

The man was taken to hospital after being treated by paramedics. The condition of the victim is unknown. Others in the building were unharmed.

Police are looking for two suspects. Research is being done in and around the house. Talks are also held with the reporters. Police are calling on witnesses to come forward.
