Three men, two of whom were posing as officers, searched a lorry in Dinteloord for drugs on Thursday afternoon. The truck driver was asked by the ‘officers’ to stop around four in the afternoon. While the two entertained the driver, a third man searched some soap boxes in the back of the truck.
The three men then drove off in two cars, whereupon the driver called the real police. A subsequent police investigation revealed fifty kilograms of drugs among the boxes. “It is probable that the men in the other boxes also took drugs and overlooked these fifty kilograms,” police said.
20.40 – Car turned upside down in Best
A car left the road on Kruisbeemdenweg in Best and turned upside down near the road surface. The car eventually came to rest upside down in a meadow next to the road. The driver was injured as a result. Despite his injuries, he himself got out of the car towards a nearby house to ask for help. Slippery road surfaces are probably the culprit. According to an Omroep Brabant 112 correspondent, it is “too slippery on the road to walk properly”.
