The emergency services went out this afternoon with many people and equipment to a pond on the Dry Dock Island in Tilburg. Someone would be in the water. The man had gone for a swim, but when bystanders thought that his car had remained undisturbed for a very long time, the alarm was raised. After investigation, it turned out that the swimmer had lost his car keys and that he had long since returned home. The fire brigade and police were unable to respond to this. It is unknown if and when the car was picked up.
