The Beneluxtunnel on the A4 will be closed from this Friday evening at 21:00. This only concerns the right-hand tunnel tube, in the direction of Bergen op Zoom. The closure of the tube is due to preparations for work on the tunnel. It will be open again on Monday 23 January at 05:00.

A young magnet fisherman in Maassluis fished a firearm out of the ditch. This happened on the Weverskade, reports WOS.nl. Local police officers have announced on social media that the weapon found has been brought to Forensic Investigation for investigation. The police seized three fake firearms from three young people on Friday. This happened at the Burgemeester van Haarenlaan in Schiedam. A witness saw the young people walking around with it and therefore alerted the police.

The police in Dordrecht arrested a man on Thursday who allegedly punched two officers in the face. The man was noticed around a quarter past nine in the morning when he was driving without a helmet near the Randweg and the Laan der United Nations. When officers confronted the driver, a female officer was punched in the face. She fell and sprained her ankle. Then a struggle ensued between the aggressive man and the male officer. He also got punched in the face. The scooter rider then fled on foot. Officers who rushed to the scene were able to apprehend the man afterwards.
