There was a fire in a restaurant in Rotterdam-IJsselmonde on Piet Smitkade. The fire was in the kitchen drain, but it was brought under control pretty quickly. An adjacent restaurant was also temporarily evacuated.

A garage was filled with smoke from the fire. Three people who took too much inside were checked by paramedics. One of the victims was taken to the hospital.

Mayor Kofff van Dordrecht immediately closed the Happy Gentleman Club on the Spuiweg. In recent years, the sex club has received numerous warnings, penalties and fines for breaking the rules.

Passers-by arrested a suspect in a stabbing in a tram in central Rotterdam. He stabbed a 22-year-old woman in the tram.

According to a police spokesman, there was a fight in the tram near the Lijnbaan at around 12:30. The suspect drew a knife and stabbed the woman multiple times. Passers-by intervened, took the knife and kept the man under control until the police arrived.

The police are quite positive about the intervention of bystanders. The woman was taken to the hospital, but she was able to speak.

Police arrested a person on Eerste Middellandstraat in Rotterdam last night after a stabbing.

The stabbing was preceded by a fight in a pub. When the police arrived at the scene, the victim, a 48-year-old man from Capelle, was also stabbed. He was taken to the hospital, but his life is not in danger.
