20:30 – Fire in Rotterdam-IJsselmonde restaurant, one person taken to hospital

There was a fire in a restaurant in Rotterdam-IJsselmonde on Piet Smitkade. The fire was in the kitchen drain, but it was brought under control pretty quickly. An adjacent restaurant was also temporarily evacuated.

A garage was filled with smoke from the fire. Three people who took too much inside were checked by paramedics. One of the victims was taken to the hospital.

Police arrested a person on Eerste Middellandstraat in Rotterdam last night after a stabbing.

The stabbing was preceded by a fight in a pub. When the police arrived at the scene, the victim, a 48-year-old man from Capelle, was also stabbed. He was taken to the hospital, but his life is not in danger.

The suspect wanted to flee, but stopped when police fired a taser. It is a 53-year-old man with no fixed abode or place of residence.
