Three copper thieves were arrested last night at a waste sorting site at Ekkersrijt industrial estate in Son en Breugel. They were arrested with the help of a police helicopter.
An employee of a security company heard a thumping in a copper container around a quarter past two at night. The police were alerted and went for it. The location turned out to be a large maze, but the copper thieves were so loud that officers found them easily. The property was surrounded. when the thieves saw the police, they fled. Two men were tasered and were immediately arrested. The third was sought with a police helicopter and sniffer dog. Eventually he too was arrested. It concerns two Tilbugers (25, 38) and a Rotterdammer (37).
