The detectives have heard the man in the prison of Arnhem. He is there for another crime, police said on Tuesday. He was heard but not arrested. On November 30, the police arrested a 31-year-old from Nijmegen because of possible involvement in the arson attacks. This man is still incarcerated.

In January this year, a commercial building and vehicles in Cuijk went up in flames. In May and June there were fires in Cuijk and Nijmegen, in October two houses in both places were shelled. No one was injured.

According to the police, the shootings and arson were aimed at the owners of an e-bike shop and people in their environment. The police set up a special investigative team on the case. That’s what led the two suspects to the track. The police are unable to say more in connection with the investigation in this case.
