A report of a person in the water turned out to be slightly different on Sunday afternoon. Two hikers walked along the Berkendonk recreational lake in Helmond and saw a boy lying alone in the water. They thought he was in trouble and so called the emergency services.
Fire, police and ambulance rushed to the water. On arrival there was also a man lying in the water, the boy was now lying with him on a surfboard. When the two came out of the water on the side, she reacted surprised at all the commotion. There appeared to be little going on.
