The police are looking for witnesses to a street robbery that took place on Wednesday evening between 7.10 pm and 7.50 pm on the Hoofdstraat in Hoogezand, near the Damskerk. Some young people who were present there quarreled, after which three of them ran away and went to the shopping center via Kerkstraat. They were ultimately involved in the street robbery, according to community police officer Mark Hopman on social media. One of the young people had a blue and white mountain bike with him, which was stolen from a man. According to Hopman, the victim is doing well, given the circumstances.
