The police have arrested a couple from Tilburg for money laundering. The 33-year-old woman and her 40-year-old partner were in possession of an unexplained amount of money. The two had been in the picture with the police for some time, because their lifestyle did not match their income and they deposited tens of thousands of euros into a bank account. This was announced by the police on Monday.
The suspects were arrested on Thursday. Their house in Tilburg-North was also searched at the time. A cash amount of several tens of thousands of euros was found there. The money and two cars were seized.
The police also searched a business premises of the suspects on Ringbaan-Oost. Large quantities of hard and soft drugs were discovered there. The two were interviewed and then released pending further investigation.
