A 47-year-old man from Nieuw-Vossemeer was arrested for involvement in the destruction of part of the De Ventjager nature reserve in South Holland’s Ooltgensplaat. In early June, a Staatsbosbeheer forest ranger found that vegetation had been removed from three adjacent parts of the nature reserve and replaced by still small hemp plants.
The man was arrested in late October, but the police will not release him until Wednesday. The man was released two days after his arrest and is free to await further investigation.
