Police arrested two men in Tilburg shortly after four on Monday evening. The officers carried out extra surveillance in connection with a series of burglaries in the city and one a few hours earlier in Kaatsheuvel. When they saw a car traveling at high speed, they decided to check the car.
Tools that could be used to break in were found in the car: a crowbar, water pump pliers and gloves. The officers then decided to arrest the driver, a 32-year-old man from Woerden. He also no longer had a driving license, after previous violations. The co-driver (a 39-year-old Tilburger) was also arrested after giving a false name.
