112 news: car overturned in Oss • no Thalys in Roosendaal

A 24-year-old Eindhoven resident will soon make a statement to the police about an alleged kidnapping and assault of a man, last September. According to his lawyer, there was no coercion or that his client and two other men intended to detain anyone against his will. The trio has been detained for some time for assault and hostage-taking. The ‘kidnap bus’ with which they allegedly transported their victim was taken off the road by the police on Spanvlinderplein in Eindhoven.

The three men will remain in jail until at least the end of May, then the next session. The court in Den Bosch ruled that the suspicions remain very high and that they outweigh their personal interests. The other two suspects come from Geldrop and Oosterhout and are 28 and 33. The lawyer of the suspect from Oosterhout wants to have the man who reported the kidnapping called as a witness.
