A fire broke out in a corner house on the Koraalzwam in Alphen aan den Rijn on Sunday evening. According to the fire brigade, this was due to a stove pipe that was too hot. This caused a fire in the attic. The resident tried to put out the fire himself, but inhaled the smoke. The neighbors had higher concentrations of carbon monoxide measured, so they had to stay outside for a while until things were ventilated. Because there has been such extensive damage to the solar panel installation, the residents of the fire address cannot sleep at home.
