Residents of part of Zevenbergen are no longer allowed to leave their neighborhood after the big fire in some warehouses last night. Moerdijk municipality fears that asbestos has been released and has closed down the neighbourhood. Strict measures apply to all residents.
According to a resident of the Bosselaar-Zuid district, he was no longer allowed to leave the district to go to work this morning. “A security guard told me I couldn’t keep driving, so I’m home now,” says Joost van Tetering, who lives at the Koraal.
Suspicious material was found in various locations in the Bosselaar-Zuid district. That’s why all precautions apply to this district, reports the municipality. In other places, such as Molengors, soot particles have been found, but no material suspected to be asbestos.
