11,000 applications approved, the disbursements of the loans granted will be finalized by the end of 2022 (Baitas)

The initial goal of the FORSA program was to provide funding to more than 10,000 project promoters. Today the target was even exceeded according to government spokesman Mustapha Baitas, reaching 11,000 approved applications.

In fact, during the press conference held at the end of this Thursday’s Government Council, the Minister Deputy to the Head of Government in charge of Relations with Parliament, Mustapha Baitas, specified that the FORSA project has reached 11,000 approved project managers, 40,000 projects have been examined, over 20,000 projects were selected during the selection phases, while 15,000 people benefited from FORSA academy-level distance learning.

Regarding funding, Baitas stressed that “Funding available today from seven (7) financial institutions exceeds the need to qualify for 10,000 files and projects. This means that we will move forward gradually. That is to say, whenever a file is ready and filed with the financial institution, the sums will be paid».

And to add:The pace of implementation of this program is progressing well in most regions, both in terms of signing contracts and disbursing credit to the regions.».

Furthermore, the government official said that “the last weeks of the current year are foreseen for the payment of the loans granted under the FORSA programme, knowing that a large number of project promoters have already received the payment. The program will then finance all selected projects by the end of December this year.».

Regarding the Awrach program, Mustapha Baitas indicated that the number of beneficiaries has reached 95,000, noting that “the rate of women has sadly dropped today from 30% to 25.5%, while the number of associations that follow the Awrach program has reached 5,301 associations».
