11-year-old Schoolboy Attacked with Scissors – Suspect Expelled from College

An 11-year-old schoolboy was the victim of a violent attack by a classmate, who is the same age, in Villeurbanne (Rhône), this Tuesday. The teenager was hit in the head with a pair of scissors, says a police source, confirming information progress.

This attack took place around 3:40 p.m., in front of the Jean-Moulin school, between the Les Iris college in Villeurbanne and the victim’s home. The girl was with one of her friends when she approached the teenager. The suspect allegedly accused her friend of looking at her askance and speaking badly to her, before taking out a pair of scissors and threatening him:
“You will see tomorrow, you will have scars”. The victim was struck in the back of the head with this bladed weapon, but fortunately was not injured. The girl then tried to cut his hair, but failed. It was her girlfriend who stopped her.

Suspect temporarily expelled from college

According to the young boy’s account, his attacker then said: “Dirty Christian! You’re all the same, you dirty dog! Is it good to be a dog? Tomorrow I’m going to meet you at school”. Shocked, the teenager explained what happened during the class council. The college staff then decided to warn his parents. The victim’s father filed a complaint this Wednesday morning for violence and public insult due to race, religion or origin. An investigation was then opened.

The schoolgirl allegedly admitted the facts to the college management. The latter was temporarily expelled from the school. She is summoned, with her parents, to the college on December 20 and should go to the disciplinary council. The suspect allegedly attacked two other students because of their religion in recent weeks, according to the regional daily.
