Drama in the United States, where an 11 year old was committed suicide with a live gunshot on Zoom, where he was following one online lesson along with his classmates. As reported by the Washington Post, Adan, this is the name of the child, was in his house in Woodbridge, in California, engaged in distance learning since schools are closed due to Coronavirus. Shortly before making the extreme gesture, around 11 on Wednesday, according to an initial reconstruction provided by the investigators, he unplugged the microphone and turned the computer camera to avoid shooting the scene. It was there to give the alarm little sister, who was in another room. The child was found unconscious on the floor in serious condition. Rushed to hospital, the doctors could not help but declare the death occurred for the injuries sustained. It is not clear the reason for the suicide or how Adan got hold of the weapon.
Adan was in sixth grade at Woodbridge Elementary School, in San Joaquin County. The school representatives are contacting the parents of the other children who were also in Zoom’s class to see if anyone needs psychological support. At the entrance to the house where the child lived with the family, a small altar with candles and posters was built. “He was a special child. Affable. He was the kind of person who would never hurt anyone, always with a nice smile on his face,” said some neighbors. The family doesn’t want to believe the suicide story, even though law enforcement has classified the case as such. “My nephew Adan is dead and is now in heaven – Uncle Luis wrote on Facebook -. We didn’t know he was suicidal. He was a wonderful child full of life and joy. I ask everyone to help our family”.
