AFC releases list of 11 rising stars Asia whose appearance is worth waiting for this year.
The list released on the AFC official website on Monday (1/1/2023) contains 11 young Asian players under the age of 23.
One of the young players who according to the AFC will shine this year is Indonesian national team personnel, Pratama Arhan.
“There is no shortage of young left-back talent in Asian football, and Indonesian Pratama Arhan is another example of a promising youngster in this position,” wrote the AFC’s official website.

Arhan’s performance skyrocketed in the tournament Cup AFF 2020 which was held last year, where Indonesia emerged as the runners-up.
In the tournament won by Thailand, Arhan successfully won the title of best young player.
Early last year, the Semarang PSIS player was recruited by Japan League second division team Tokyo Verdy.
However, till now Arhan is still having trouble getting into Tokyo Verdy’s main squad.
Even so, Arhan remains the first choice for the Indonesia national team in the 2022 AFF Cup.
“Arhan is undoubtedly one of the most exciting talents in Indonesian football at the moment,” added the AFC.

In list 11 rising stars The AFC, Pratama Arhan alongside a young Manchester United (MU) player, Zidane Iqbal.
Iqbal, a Manchester-born youngster with Pakistani-Iraqi blood, made his debut for the Red Devils main squad at the Champions League stage last season.
That debut match set Iqbal an all-time record as the first English-South Asian player to appear for Manchester United.
Despite being born in England, Zidane Iqbal chose to play for the Iraq national team. The 19-year-old midfielder has made two international caps.
Another name in the list of 11 young promising Asian players for 2023 is wing young Australian national team, Garang Kuol.
At the age of 18, Kuol worked his way up to Australia’s squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The Egyptian-born teenager also became a rookie in this major tournament.
Kuol, who will join Newcastle United in January 2023, will appear in both matches of the 2022 World Cup as a substitute.
In addition to Pratama Arhan, Zidane Iqbal and Garang Kuol, there are eight other young Asian players who are expected to shine this year according to the AFC.
