(Elbil24): Tesla’s cars are in many ways very modern, but they also have their shortcomings compared to many of the competitors. One thing many people miss is, for example, a head-up display (HUD) where you can see things like speed, navigation and the like directly through the windscreen.

Tesla still swears that it is the screen in the middle that will show all the information, at least on the Model 3 and Model Y.

A couple of weeks ago, the Americans launched an upgraded version of the Model 3. We have already driven it on Norwegian roads, and you will also find a full article about everything that is new with the new edition here:

New Tesla launched – in Norway!

Or yes – anything and everything. A function Tesla never mentioned, but which we now find in the user manual, is that the new Model 3 has finally got a proper blind spot warning, where a lamp lights up on the A-pillar when other road users are in the blind spot.

It may appear that this only applies to the driver’s side, and that you still have to glance over your right shoulder to check the blind spot on the opposite side. What Tesla has had until now is a camera display of the relevant side of the car when you use the turn signal.

We hasten to add that this is a feature you will find on the vast majority of new cars today – on both sides of the car. Most of them then have a small light on the mirror itself, or an indicator in the head-up display.
