In the state of Bremen, the health authorities registered eleven new corona cases on Monday. All new infections come from Bremen. Two other Covid 19 patients also died here. Since 34 people are also considered recovered, the number of active corona cases in the country drops to 634.
The incidence value in Bremen drops from 31.4 on Sunday to 30.3. Curious: The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days in Bremerhaven is increasing, although there were no new infections. The health department explains this with late reports from the past few days. Since there are six more cases, the incidence value in Bremerhaven climbs from 28.2 to 34.3.
Incidence values in Bremen and Bremerhaven
According to the health department, 61 people with a corona infection currently have to be hospitalized in the state of Bremen, 24 of them in intensive care units. 18 of the people treated in intensive care must therefore be ventilated.
According to the authority, the British virus variant B.1.1.7 now accounts for between 98 and 100 percent of all positive samples examined. Cases of the other mutations have not appeared in the past week. According to the health department, there are so far 23 cases of variant B.1.351 (origin: South Africa), one case of variant B.1.1.28 (Brazil) and twelve cases of variant B.1.617 (India) in the city of Bremen. So far there have been three cases of variant B.1351 in Bremerhaven.
