11 East Lampung Residents Affected by DHF in a Week

Sukadana: A total of 11 residents of East Lampung Regency (Lamtim) are recorded to be suffering Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) during the first week of January 2022.

The Head of the Lamtim District Health Service (Dinkes), Nanang Salman, explained that the increase in cases could continue to occur during the rainy season. Moreover, he said, February 2022 is predicted to be the peak of the rainy season.

“Residents must actively carry out mosquito nest eradication (PSN) through 3M plus, namely, draining places that often become water reservoirs such as bathtubs, jugs, water towers, drums and other water reservoirs, then tightly closing water reservoirs such as tubs. bathing or drums, and burying used items in the ground so as not to make the environment more dirty and can potentially become a mosquito breeding ground,” he explained.
