Jakarta –
A total of 11 countries have been allowed to enter Saudi Arabia, but Indonesia is not included. The Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Indonesia, Esam Abid Althaghafi, revealed that the 11 countries had no connection with the pilgrimage and Umrah pilgrimages.
“Some time ago the airline announced that Saudi Arabia allowed 20 countries. I want to emphasize, 11 countries are allowed to enter the country Saudi Arabia,” said Esam when met at the Saudi Arabian Embassy, Jl HR Rasuna Said, Jakarta, Thursday (3/6/2021).
“But here I want to clarify that these 11 countries have nothing to do with hajj and umrah travel as circulated,” he continued.
Esam emphasized that the 11 countries allowed to enter Saudi Arabia only received permits for business trips and others. Esam said that the permit was completely unrelated to the permit hajj.
“Eleven countries that get entry permits are travel entry permits, or tourism, or a business trip, or for any other purpose. I reiterate that it has nothing to do with permitting hajj travel,” said Esam.
However, Esam hopes that all matters hajj and Umrah can run as usual. He said the ministry in charge of hajj and umrah had not yet been finalized.
“We hope that Allah SWT will make all matters of Hajj and Umrah easier. Until now there has been no official statement from the Minister of Hajj and Umrah regarding Saudi Arabia will open 60 thousand pilgrims as circulated in the community,” he explained.
