The “Cultural Association of the Bohemian Prater” is pointing out the next events in the “Tivoli” hall (10th, Laer Wald 30 c) or on the Prater grounds: On Saturday, September 7th, a concert by entertainer Andy Lee Lang begins at 7 p.m. Visitors to the show “Andy Lee Lang – Goes Country Live” will take a musical journey through the vast prairie with the artist. Admission: 6 p.m.: Ticket price: 18 euros. This will be followed by “Country Day” on Sunday, September 8th, with the western bands “Midnight Creek” (2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.) and “New West” (5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.). The combo “Midnight Creek” will present their new single “Mountain Top” and the quartet “New West” will play the hit “Stay On Track”. Admission is free on this day. Other activities in September include “Star Wars Day” (Saturday, September 14), a rock’n’roll concert (Saturday, September 21) and a harvest festival with lots of music (Sunday, September 29). “The Star Wars continue!”, announced more than 30 costumed actors from the recognized costume clubs “501st Legion Austrian Garrison” and “Rebel Legion Alpine Base Austria” on Saturday, September 14th. “Star Wars Day” begins at 11:00 a.m. The spectacle ends at 5:00 p.m. Club members, masked to the original, pose as “Anakin Skywalker,” “Boba Fett,” and “Darth Maul,” for example. Several “Stormtroopers” are also available for group photographs. All of the galactic figures are asking for donations for the “St. Anna Children’s Hospital.” A pompous parade throughout the Prater area (from 11:00 a.m.) and a small exhibition (pictures, costumes, etc.) round off this absolutely heavenly festivities. Admission is free.
On Saturday, September 21st, the charitable association “Stadl tut gut” is organizing a benefit concert in the “Tivoli” hall in the Bohemian Prater with the ensemble “Pete Art & Band feat. Herbert Prohaska”. Under the motto “Voiiigaaas!” a varied program with pop hits, hits, country songs and rock’n’roll songs will be presented. The proceeds from the evening will go to the “mission:possible” facility, a shared apartment for traumatized girls. The band “Schwanara” (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: pop, rock, dialect songs) and the group “Sumawind” (2 p.m. to 4 p.m.: hits, Austropop, rock) will be taking part in the cheerful “Thanksgiving Festival” in the Bohemian Prater on Sunday, September 29th. A highlight of the celebration is the guest performance by singer Christina Kosik (4.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.: Austropop). Kosik will be performing her popular songs “Legenden”, “So vü mehr” and “Für Di”, among others. Food and drink will be provided.
