A woman in England, namely Dorothy Palmer, just celebrated her 105th birthday. What’s interesting, Dorothy said, was that the ‘key’ behind her long life was apparently as simple as frequently eating her favorite food, namely bread with butter.
Dorothy was born on January 4 1919. Dorothy was born and raised in Guildford, Surrey, before moving to Wales to work as a teacher at Haverford West School and as a nurse.
She met the man who would later become her husband, William, at a dance. The couple enjoys going to photo spots, dancing and meeting friends.
Dorothy and William were blessed with two sons, namely Hugh who is now 76 years old and Robin who is now 66 years old.
Throughout her life, Dorothy preferred to spend holidays relaxing in the city where she lived rather than traveling far abroad. He always takes one day to enjoy traveling within the city using bus or train transportation.
Always Be Active
Dorothy is an active woman. Apart from that, she spends a lot of time walking in the park, embroidering, reading, or knitting.
In fact, he was actively smoking. However, when she was 50 years old, Dorothy decided to stop smoking because she realized that cigarettes were bad for her. At that time, he also committed to stop drinking alcoholic beverages. He only consumes this drink occasionally, for example during Christmas celebrations.
Until she was 100 years old, Dorothy always lived independently. But one day, Dorothy fell and had to move to be cared for by someone else.
However, Dorothy was never fussy about food. Dorothy really likes salad dishes. However, according to him, he was able to live a long life until now because he often ate his favorite foods, namely bread and butter and cakes.
