ABU DHABI – The anti-drug team of the Ras Al Khaimah police has seized 103 kg of hashish trying to smuggle it into the country on a fishing boat. Many people were arrested in the incident. The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command informed that the group was arrested with the help of the Emirates Coast Guard Command.
Ras Al Khaimah Police Commander-in-Chief Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Numaini said the anti-drug team formed a special team as soon as it received information that a major drug deal was going to take place on the coast of the emirate. He also said the Coast Guard Command assisted in the inspection and investigation.
During the search, the trawler was found in an unusual way. During the inspection, 103 kg of hashish were found inside. The case has been forwarded to the concerned authorities for further action.
