The Reconstruction Plan allocates a little over BGN 1 billion and 800 million for the renovation of the building stock. This includes the overall energy modernization of multifamily, commercial and public buildings.
Another goal set in the document is the construction of photovoltaic systems for 10,000 households, as well as professional management of condominiums.

The entrepreneur says he would also use the funds from the Recovery Plan to make a photovoltaic system at home.
Experts are adamant – Bulgaria needs to finalize changes in energy legislation so that households can apply for simplified procedures for energy production for their own needs.
“As everyone orders the Internet, cable TV, to call a company and it should come and install it – this should be the procedure, not to go around the ERPs, municipalities, etc.”, says Malinka Nikolova from the Bulgarian Solar Association.
“The key for each of us as a consumer of electricity is to change the regulation so that each of us can be a producer and sell energy that he does not consume from the photovoltaic plant for their own use,” said Meglena Rusenova from Bulgarian Photovoltaic Association.
The industry also warns about the staffing problem – according to them, there are not enough qualified staff to install home solar panels.
“Currently, there is a big trend in companies that want to deal with photovoltaics or are already dealing with them, and such personnel are not currently on the market,” said Veselin Todorov of the Solar Academy “Bulgaria”.
About 10,000 households will be able to benefit from Brussels’ money for home solar panels.
