10,000 euros for golden tip robberies on celebrities

Justice is offering a reward of 10,000 euros for the golden tip that leads to the arrest of a number of suspects in a series of violent robberies against wealthy Dutch people.

At the beginning of December 2020, the police arrested eight men in various raids. They are suspected of having been involved in, among other things, the failed robbery of football analyst René van der Gijp in Dordrecht and the armed robbery in Uden on YouTube star Nikkie de Jager.

De Jager was robbed in her home last August, tied up and beaten with a firearm. A few months earlier, three masked men had beaten Van der Gijp’s car with hammers when he came home from a TV broadcast. They eventually fled without loot. Van der Gijp owed this to his car with armored windows.

In the program Investigation Requested The police reported that they were still looking for one suspect who was involved in robberies in Dordrecht, Ridderkerk and Uden. “A lot of violence was used in those cases,” a spokesperson told Rhine estuary.

Of the eight suspects who have been arrested, seven are still in custody.
