1000 researchers participate in the launch of the 6th International Arabic Language Conference in Sharjah

Under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the Sixth International Arabic Language Conference was launched yesterday morning in Sharjah, entitled: Teaching and Learning the Arabic Language, Looking to the Future: “Requirements, Opportunities, and Challenges” organized by the Educational Center for the Arabic Language for the Gulf States in Sharjah – one of the organs of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States and the Ministry of Education.

The conference continues until the eighteenth of February 2023 AD, and its program includes 26 scientific seminars and four seminars on best practices and experiences with the participation of 143 experts and researchers, with a total number of research and studies amounting to 107 research and studies and a number of best practices amounting to 20 practices, all of which are specialized in teaching and learning the Arabic language.

The launch of the events was attended by Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad Al-Asimi, Director General of the Arab Education Bureau, and Dr. Issa Al-Hammadi, Director of the Educational Center for the Arabic Language for the Gulf States in Sharjah, in addition to specialists and lovers of the Arabic language through the visual communication program, whose number reached a thousand researchers.

The event of the remote conference began with the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates and the Holy Qur’an, then the welcoming speech of Dr. Issa Al Hammadi, Director of the Educational Center for the Arabic Language for the Gulf States in Sharjah, in which he indicated that the conference is one of the approved programs of the Educational Center for the Arabic Language for the Gulf States for the session 2023/2024 AD. With the aim of clarifying and discussing issues, studies, research, best practices, and scientific and practical experiences related to the reality of teaching and learning the Arabic language, and introducing individual and institutional efforts and their role in developing teaching and learning the Arabic language.

He pointed out that the conference will work on reviewing the latest developments, creative initiatives, reports and successful experiences, and also seeks to spread awareness and shoulder joint responsibility and the need for coordination between institutions concerned with teaching and learning the Arabic language towards the Arabic language, and to benefit from international experiences and expertise, to develop teaching the Arabic language, taking into account the characteristics of the Arabic language. The Arabic language, in addition to discussing the modern challenges facing the future of teaching and learning the Arabic language.

Then Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad Al-Asimi, Director General of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, delivered his speech, saying: We prove that interest in the Arabic language comes at the top of the priorities and interests of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, and this conference comes to achieve one of its most important strategic goals represented in the development of teaching and learning the Arabic language And work to promote innovation and innovation, and benefit from international experiences and expertise in teaching the Arabic language from a distance and apply it on the ground in the Arab world.

The Ministry of Education and the Arab Education Bureau for the Gulf States were honored, and the shield was presented to Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad Al-Asimi, Director General of the Arab Education Bureau for the Gulf States, for his continuous support for the center, then the participants were honored

After that, the inaugural session began, entitled (Teaching and Learning the Arabic Language, Looking Toward the Future: “Requirements, Opportunities, and Challenges”), which dealt with many topics that the participants dealt with.

The conference seminars followed and consisted of three seminars that included 15 research papers on different topics.

The first symposium, entitled: “Developing Arabic Language Curricula,” included 5 research papers, and the second symposium, entitled: “Preparing the Arabic language teacher in the twenty-first century,” included 5 research papers.

The third symposium, entitled: “Modern Trends in Evaluation of Arabic Language Education,” included 5 research papers.
