– The number of new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) in Japan remained around 1,000 for the third day.

According to NHK broadcasting on the 5th, a total of 1,148 new confirmed corona19 confirmed cases across Japan as of 6:30 pm on the day.

Since the 28th of last month, the number of confirmed patients per day has risen to 1,000 again from the 3rd of this month, which has been below the 1000 line for three consecutive days.

The cumulative confirmed number increased to 43,8573, and the number of deaths increased by 55 to 8,211.

The Japanese government held a meeting of the Corona 19 Countermeasure Headquarters presided over by Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga on the evening of this evening. It was decided to extend the period of declaring an emergency situation in Korea by another two weeks until the 21st of this month.

Prime Minister Suga was initially planning to lift the emergency situation in the metropolitan area in line with the first extension deadline, but as the number of mutant virus infections recently increased, experts pointed out that there is a concern about the possibility of re-proliferation after the full release of the emergency situation, so he turned toward a 2-week extension.

As the emergency period is extended, administrative recommendations to reduce human contact, such as refraining from going out in these areas, reducing restaurant business hours (until 8 p.m.), and reducing the number of people going to work using telework (working from home) by 70%, will be announced on the 21st. Until it became valid.
