1,000 euros for each Sevilla victory

The Sevilla defender Jules Koundé, news this summer for his aborted signing for Chelsea and also recently for refusing to travel with the team to Elche on the third day of the League, has been surprised to learn of an important donation that he has made to a solidarity project called ‘La Casa Azul’ so that families of sick children who are treated at the Virgen del Rocío hospital in Sevilla have a place to stay while they are being treated.

The French international, after attending the presentation of the project last season, promised to donate a thousand euros for each game that Sevilla won, although only on one condition, which was not known and that the issue did not come to light. Koundé has donated 24,000 euros to the ‘El Gancho Infantil’ Foundation, which is the one who promotes this initiative and which has created the ‘Azotea Azul’ in the Sevillian hospital, a play space that takes advantage of dead areas of the building for the entertainment of the children admitted.

“We saw that he had even counted the games that Sevilla had won before he came to see us. I thanked him excitedly and asked him to please that, although I perfectly understood his decision not to be public, he would let us count it as a clear speaker so that society would know that Tu Casa Azul will be the future Ronald McDonald House in Seville, a house really important and urgent to have it as soon as possible; that the reference hospital in Andalusia should already have a place where families arriving from abroad with their sick children can stay. He told me he would think about it again… ”, said Barta Baturone, president of the Foundation.
