Han Weiting further pointed out that in order to support the purchase price for 100% of the shares held in this case, Fubon Financial Holdings plans to raise short-term funds first, and plans to start capital market financing in the second quarter of 2021. The initial plan is to issue 60% common stocks and 40% special shares, but still need to apply to the competent authority for approval.

Han Weiting said that there are two conditions for this public acquisition. The first is that the number of shareholders’ shares to be sold must reach the 50.01% threshold, and the second is the fair agreement. Among them, because 50.01% is just the threshold, the ultimate goal is to acquire 100%. By February 1st, the public acquisition deadline, if this threshold is not reached, no shares will be purchased.
