100 kg of spoiled meat seized, butcher’s shop closed by the police

Terni, 9 November 2024 – One hundred kilograms of meat infested with parasites they were seized by the Carabinieri as part of extraordinary checks which involved commercial establishments in the Viale Brin area. The operation, reports the Carabinieri, dates back to recent days in the context of checks aimed at compliance with health and hygiene standards in the conservation of food for sale to the public. In addition to the soldiers of the provincial command, employees of the regional anti-adulteration unit, experts in this type of inspection, took part in the checks. As mentioned, some commercial businesses in Viale Brin are in the spotlight. The checks covered numerous shops between food outlets and other retail establishments. The administrative measure for the suspension of business activity for an indefinite period has been issued, until the conditions that guarantee full hygienic-sanitary suitability are restored, for a butcher’s shop managed by a forty-four-year-old of foreign origins.

In this case the carabinieri therefore proceeded to seizure of 1,100 products between skin cleansers and creams, imposing a fine of 1,032 euros on the owner.
