RED by SFR is an operator which has experienced great success in recent years. Since the start of the year, he has been quite creative with new lightning deals, like the RED Deal. The latter allows you to combine the purchase of a smartphone with a mobile plan. Quite simply, you get a free phone if you subscribe to a 100 GB mobile plan.
The principle is ultra attractive, especially when you know the price quality at RED by SFR. In this case, the package in question includes 100 GB per month for 20 €. On the other hand, the value of the smartphone that is offered (Galaxy S9 refurbished Grade A) is priced at € 299. In the end, when you withdraw this amount from your mobile plan over 2 years (commitment period), it comes down to € 7.50 per month.
How to take advantage of the RED Deal mobile plan
The principle of the special RED Deal mobile plan is as follows: you subscribe to a 24-month mobile plan and in return you receive a free phone. By default, when we know that RED by SFR has always offered non-binding offers, this may seem surprising. In fact, there is a real interest in this offer.
Earlier this month, RED by SFR had already launched a fairly similar RED Deal in terms of content. This time it included a refurbished iPhone 8 of the same value as the Galaxy S9 highlighted today. So you can get this smartphone worth € 299 (it’s Grade A + refurbished, the best quality available) for nothing!
In exchange for this generous gift, it will therefore be necessary to commit to a mobile plan from the operator. That said, the latter is also competitive from a value for money point of view. You can enjoy unlimited calls, SMS and MMS, 100 GB of data (and 13 GB in the EU and DOM) for € 20 per month. It is a very competitive package if we compare it to the offers of traditional operators.
But beyond the price of this mobile plan alone, you really have to look at the combination of the two: the 100 GB plan with the Galaxy S9 smartphone that is offered. In the end, when the package costs you € 480 over 24 months, the smartphone allows you to receive the equivalent of € 299 for free. You can therefore resell it if you do not need it. In the end, when you have recovered this money, the package will cost you only € 181, or € 7.50 per month over 24 months.
RED by SFR is generous
In terms of flexibility, RED by SFR is also competitive. Your refurbished Samsung Galaxy S9 will be delivered within 24 hours of your order (or within 48 hours if you choose a pickup point). In both cases, delivery is free. You will therefore pay nothing other than the cost of your mobile plan as well as the SIM card (€ 1).
Obviously, just because this 100 GB mobile plan will cost you € 480 in total does not mean that you have to pay for everything at once. As with any plan, you will receive a monthly invoice of € 20 for your subscription. Month after month over the entire period, you will be debited for this amount. You will therefore receive the Galaxy S9 in preview, even before having paid the entire mobile plan.
If you don’t want this Galaxy S9, you can also take advantage of a bare 100 GB mobile plan at RED by SFR. This one is at a great price since it is only 14 € per month (instead of 20 €). You therefore save € 6 per month over the entire period. That said, it doesn’t match the quality of the RED Deal offering which saves $ 299 over the entire period.
Other packages with the operator
While the RED Deal is undoubtedly RED by SFR’s flagship mobile plan, there are also other offers that may interest you. We can cite for example the package with unlimited calls, SMS and MMS as well as 5 GB for 5 € per month. It also includes 6 GB of data in the European Union and the French overseas departments. It will respond to a maximum of French and it is really very affordable. This is one of the best packages under 5 euros on the market.
For those who want to access the 5G network, RED by SFR has also set up an offer. It also includes all unlimited calls and SMS as well as 130 GB per month. The price is logically higher since the cost of the infrastructure is more expensive. It is therefore necessary to count 24 € per month (instead of 30 €, special offer) to take advantage of this ultra-fast network. Your smartphone must also be compatible with 5G.
Other than the special RED Deal mobile plan, no other carrier plan comes with a commitment. RED by SFR is known for leaving all the freedom to its customers, whatever the product (including on its RED Box). Having said that, the RED Deal is so amazing that you have every interest in committing to it over 2 years. You make a huge saving, even if it means reselling the Samsung Galaxy S9 in the process.
