“100. debut” Skaistkalns, Ingars Viļums from “Prāta Vētras” and Alice Haijima meet in a joint song

The producer association “YDJ” has come out with a new single “Attkartin yet”, involving the former members of the group “100. debut” member and composer Modri Skaistkalna, as well as singer Alisa Haijim.

The song “Repeat again” was created in a completely unexpected way, when Modris Skaistkalns handed over its draft to the producer association “YDJ”. “Modris brought a song that was sung only with ‘na-na-na’ and offered it to us saying that he knew we produced different songs and therefore thought that maybe we could take on this one as well. We immediately said “yes”, even though it didn’t have words yet, and we didn’t even have anyone in mind to give this song to sing,” says one of the producers of the association “YDJ”, Lotars Lodziņš. Ingars Viļums, the bassist of “Prāta Vētras”, also participated in the creation and production of the song, who played both guitar and bass parts.

The recording was made in the “Labo recording studio” with producers Lotaras Lodzisna and Jānis Kalvi at the console. “When we started working on this song, we were working with Alice Haijima at the time and realized that she was the one to offer to sing it. Then everything happened organically. We wrote the words in one night, but then the time of restrictions came and the music industry also stopped. During this time, we reworked the song three more times until we were satisfied with it and arrived at the sound it has now. We are happy with what we have done and a huge thank you to Ingar Viļumas for the guitar and bass parts. And Alice is a malacis with her non-Latvian temperament and liveliness – we all love her!” rejoice the producers.

It should be noted that additional vocals were sung by Ilona Vaitava from the women of the Ķekava Culture House vocal ensemble “Feel”. This song will also be remixed soon.
