The average price of a hectare of land in Ukraine is 33 thousand hryvnia

Agricultural land in Ukraine is now sold at a much higher price than the normative-monetary value, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy said.

In Ukraine, the average price of a hectare of agricultural land is about 33 thousand hryvnia. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy Roman Leshchenko following the results of 100 days of land reform, informs Ukrinform on Tuesday, October 12.

“If we take the total number of all transactions on agricultural land, then the average cost of one hectare, as of October 9, is UAH 43,879. But if we make the weighted average cost of one hectare of land for commercial agricultural production, then this is about UAH 32 thousand 857. And if we are talking about the weighted average cost for running a personal peasant farm, we are talking about UAH 33 thousand, “Leshchenko said.

According to the minister, the division by land value was made to better understand the pricing of agricultural land. If we take the total mass of transactions for the sale of agricultural land, then the average price is more than 40 thousand hryvnyas, but here the cost of land in the Kiev region is taken into account over 240 thousand hryvnias per hectare. Obviously, this land will not be used for agricultural needs, so 95% of transactions in the land market were taken as the basis.

At the same time, today agricultural land in Ukraine is sold at a much higher price than the normative-monetary value, Leshchenko noted.

“In Ukraine, there is an absolutely civilized form of the land market, there is no rush. As of today, more than 28 thousand transactions are publicly registered. The total area of transactions today is slightly more than 70 thousand hectares. Today, the land market has a dynamic to growth.” – said the minister.

Since the land market is growing without any particular shocks, now the Ministry of Agrarian Policy is switching from daily to weekly market analytics, the head of the department summed up.

Let us remind you that July 1 land market has started working in Ukraine… Since that day, the ban on the sale of agricultural land has been lifted.

Later, the Ministry of Justice said that Ukrainians started selling land… In the first half of the day after the moratorium was lifted, the Ministry of Justice registered 33 land sale transactions.
