Makassar City Fire Department Head Hasanuddin said the child’s name was Juli. He is an elementary school student in Makassar.

Hasanuddin said the incident occurred on Wednesday (3/11) evening. At that time, Juli was making TikTok content on the terrace of her house on Jalan Gunung Lombo Battang, Ujungpandang District.

After the rain, the terrace of July’s house is slippery. Juli is not alone, she plays TikTok with her peers. While he was dancing, it was suspected that Juli smacked his friend so that he fell and his hand was stuck in the iron fence of the house.

“He plays TikTok with his friends. The location is slippery because after the rain. The victim slipped and had time to hold onto the fence and was then stabbed by the fence, entering the palm of the right hand through the knuckles,” said Hasanuddin.

Hasanuddin said Juli was given help with makeshift tools. Juli’s parents even had time to cut the iron with a grinder.

However, there was still a trace of iron stuck in his right hand. Juli’s parents immediately contacted the fire department. Firefighters were also sent to help the victims.

“At the Pelamonia Hospital, the rescue team was still asked to cut the rest of the fence railings using a grinder before the medical team carried out the operation,” Hasanuddin said.
