Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins had ten different substances in his body when he died – including marijuana, opioids and antidepressants, Colombian officials have confirmed.
The 50-year-old drummer died in Colombia, where the band is touring in Latin America, and was found dead at his hotel.
Preliminary results of a urine toxicology test found that he had ingested THX (marijuana), tricyclic antidepressants, benzodiazepines and opioids, the Prosecutor General’s Office said.
Officials said on Twitter: “The National Institute of Forensic Medicine continues to conduct the necessary medical tests to determine the cause of death.”
The band was due to tour the UK this summer, with concerts in London, Birmingham and Manchester. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
