It’s not just sales in the local market that will increase in 2021. Exports of cars as a whole, aka CBU from Indonesia to other countries, have also increased. This is a list of the top 10 best-selling cars made in Indonesia.
Throughout January to October 2021, CBU car exports from Indonesia were recorded at 235,955 units. This is quoted from data from the Association of Indonesian Motorized Vehicle Industries (Gaikindo).
Daihatsu is in the top position with a total selling 95,107 units. The car models consist of Daihatsu Gran Max, Mazda Bongo (twin Gran Max), Toyota Lite Ace, Toyota Avanza, Toyota Rush, Toyota Raize, and Toyota Wigo (twin Agya).
Rush became the most exported by Daihatsu. The low SUV sold by Toyota in Indonesia has been distributed as many as 36,411 units.
Despite repeatedly being the best-selling car in Indonesia, the Avanza did not sell as much as the Rush in foreign markets. During January – October 2021, 14,060 cars of the million people have been delivered.
Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia has the highest number of exports in second place. Gaikindo data records that Toyota exported 54,643 units of cars in January-October 2021. PT TMMIN exported Toyota cars such as the Toyota Fortuner, Toyota Innova, Toyota Sienta, Toyota Vios, and Toyota Yaris.
The top three cars most shipped by Toyota are the Fortuner (26,920 units), the Yaris (16,040 units), and the Vios (7,047 units).
Mitsubishi is in the position of the three car manufacturers with the most CBU exports. In the same period, Mitsubishi Motors exported 42,136 units of cars. Currently, Mitsubishi exports Mitsubishi Xpander and Xpander Cross cars.

- Toyota Avanza: 14,060 units
- Suzuki XL-7: 13.498 unit
- Suzuki Carry: 12.727 unit
- Mitsubishi Xpander Cross: 12.945 unit
- Toyota Vios: 7,047 units
