Filters have the ability to turn users into seemingly anything they want, whether they’re cosmetic surgery obsessed, racing through Versailles, or now realistic Disney-Pixar characters.
Snapchat closed on Thursday the 10th. June, which uses AR to turn users into a character straight out of a Disney movie. Tech Crunch has tried the lens over 215 million users and viewed it over 1.7 billion times.
The filter called Cartoon 3D Style Lens is only available on Snapchat, but the online trend is seeing users sharing their videos with TikTok afterwards, nor is this the first time a Disney filter has taken the internet by storm as it is actually the third Snapchat’s cartoon-style lens is.
In August 2020, Snapchat had a 28.5. The biggest month in over a year, millions of new installations. Coincidentally or not so randomly, this month Snapchat also released its first cartoon filter, the Cartoon Face lens. In December 2020, Snapchat introduced its users to the cartoon lens, which is an even more realistic transformation into a Disney Pixar character made possible.
Now Snapchat has unveiled its most realistic version of the filter yet. To use the cartoon 3D style lens, users simply need to hit the “Search” button on the top left of the camera and type in “Cartoon 3D style”. To participate in the trend, record your video on Snapchat, save it and then upload it to TikTok.
As the most realistic filter, the latest filter has posted videos online that feature Flynn Rider and Elsa.
