Every actor has had setbacks on set. Sometimes these failures are fun, sometimes embarrassing and even dangerous. Incidents can range from falling asleep during a sex scene to covering a pimple on your bottom. Trust us – not everything always goes as planned. Well, here are some (10) mishaps that happened on set!

Margot Robbie – “The Wolf of Wall Street”
Actress Margot Robbie says that filming the scene in “The Wolf of Wall Street” where she has sex with Leonardo DiCaprio on a bed with a pile of money scattered on it was a very painful experience. “I had a million paper cuts on my back from all that money! It’s not as bright as it sounds,” she said. “If anyone ever plans to have sex on a pile of money: don’t! But maybe real money is a little softer, but fake money is like paper, and when I got out of bed and turned to get my robe, everyone gasped. I asked: “What is it?” And they said, “You look like you’ve been whipped a million times. Your back is covered with a thousand red scratches.”
Several actors – “Jaws 2”
During the filming of the sequel to the US horror thriller “Jaws”, directed by Steven Spielberg, the cast were scared when real hammerhead sharks started circling them in the sea. The problem was that their cries went unheard. The film crew didn’t think they were in any real danger because the script said they should scream for help at that point.
Anne Hathaway – “Love and Other Medicines”
Hathaway accidentally undressed too quickly when she thought the cameras were already rolling around her during the filming of “Love and Other Drugs.” “I had to take my coat off and be naked underneath, and I thought we were shooting this scene at this point,” she said. “But it turned out that we were just trying and I got unnecessarily naked in front of a lot of people!”
Viggo Mortensen – “The Lord of the Rings”
When Aragon (Mortensen) believes two of the hobbits are dead, he lets out a gigantic primal cry as he kicks his helmet in anger and falls to the floor. This behavior seems like an appropriate response to the grief his character is feeling, but in reality, the actor had broken two toes while kicking his helmet.
Christopher Mintz-Plasse – “Superbad”
Not exactly an accident, but it was definitely an awkward moment behind the camera for then-17-year-old actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse. When the actor played Fogel in Superbad, his mother was present while he was filming a sex scene, since he was only 17 years old in 2007.
“It was very awkward, I was actually innocent at the time, so I had no idea what I was doing. I was very nervous, very scared. While I was doing it, my mom was eating popcorn and talking to the producers. It was very surreal, he said.
“She was there and I had fake intercourse in her presence,” Mintz-Plass said. “We didn’t talk about it after that. We still haven’t talked about that scene.”
Emily Clarke – “Game of Thrones”
Emily Clark had an embarrassing situation on the set of “Game of Thrones”. Makeup professionals covered her with fake blood, as one of the scripts required her to be covered in it. The actress stuck to everything she touched because the material was very sticky. She disappeared from the set at one point because she was stuck in the toilet.
Dave Franco – “Bad Neighbors”
While filming the movie “Bad Neighbors”, Dave Franco had a really embarrassing situation. A scene where he had to undress had to be filmed. Although he was quite worried about it, it wasn’t the only problem. In fact, he discovered a large pimple on his bottom that morning. He asked a make-up artist, who was a stranger to him, to apply make-up directly to his backside. And it was very awkward!
Tom Cruise – “Mission: Impossible – Fallout”
The action star broke her ankle while performing a stunt on the set of Mission: Impossible 6. The scene shows Cruise doing a quick rooftop jump from one building to another when his foot hits a wall. But instead of collapsing, he continues to walk as if nothing happened until the end of the scene, when you can see him limping away. He said: “I knew straight away that my ankle was broken and I really didn’t want to do it again, so I just got up and went on to finish the scene. I said, ‘It’s broken. Take me to the hospital,’ and then everyone got on the phone and arranged a vacation.”
Lizzy Kaplan and Michael Sheen – “Masters of Sex”
Kaplan was nervous when she had to strip in front of “Masters of Sex” co-star Sheen. But then an accident happened. “And we finish the scene and I put my hand on my chest and they yell, ‘Cut!'” and Sheen immediately goes over to the trash can and throws up. Turns out Sheen had eaten something that twisted his stomach, but Kaplan didn’t know. She said: “My whole self-esteem was shattered and I realized that I was a monster and anyone who touched me from now on would immediately throw up.”

Lena Danhema – “Girls”
It was a minor setback for Dunham when the patch kept falling off in scenes that required nudity. Dunham said: “I stopped wearing patches after the first season of Girls. There’s not one guy who worked on that sitcom who hasn’t seen the inside of my vagina. You stick it on, but it gets all sweaty and the patch always falls off. And trust me, filming at the end of the day, my male colleagues don’t care.”
