In the Winter Garden at Brookfield Place, the annual Brookfield Luminaries Experience takes place daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Under a vault of light, visitors are invited to write their wishes which are then sent to the lanterns. For each wish, $ 1 (to a maximum of $ 25,000) will be donated to music education programs at the GRAMMY Museum.

An estimated one million people, the crowd present for this show broadcast live on television. Activities start at 6 p.m. For those who don’t want to be in the crowds of Times Square, you can get to Broadway, 43rd Street to 50th or 7th Avenue.
