10 Covid-19 patients were hospitalized last day, which is analogous to the number of patients hospitalized the previous day, according to information published by the National Health Service (NSS).
A total of 47 patients are treated in hospitals.
Of the inpatients, 42 had a moderate course of disease and five had a severe course of the disease.
A total of 244 patients were discharged from the hospital.
Health Minister Ilze Ņķele this morning on the microblogging website “Twitter”, commenting on whether the Riga Marathon should not be canceled due to the Covid-19 outbreak, said that the decision on the marathon or anything else in the context of Covid-19 is made strictly by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control recommendations.
“Experts have not recommended canceling the marathon, evaluating its organization as safe enough,” Vinķele said.
SPKC data on the number of people infected with Covid-19 in the previous day are expected later in the day.
As you know, on Friday, October 9, at 11 SPKC will inform about the epidemiological situation in Latvia in connection with the implementation of Covid-19 and the Immigrant Registration Control Information System (IECIS), which envisages filling in electronic questionnaires on the website covidpass.lv from 12 October.
