1 RT and 2 roads in East Jakarta-South Jakarta flooded, height reaches 90 Cm

Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) DKI Jakarta reported 1 neighborhood unit (RT) and 2 roads flood due to heavy rain hitting Jakarta. The height of the flood water reached 90 cm.

Based on data from the DKI Jakarta BPBD Disaster Data Center, Wednesday (25/9/2024), as of 18.00 WIB, the rain that hit the DKI Jakarta area and its surroundings caused flooding in the DKI Jakarta area.

“BPBD noted that water is currently occurring in 1 RT or 0.003 percent of the 30,772 RTs and 2 flooded roads in the DKI Jakarta area,” said BPBD DKI Jakarta CEO Isnawa Adji in a statement .

One RT that was flooded was in the area of ​​Lubang Buaya, East Jakarta. The water level reaches 9O cm.

“The cause of high water is the overflowing of water channels,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the data for the two flooded roads is as follows:

Jalan Ciledug Raya (Seskoal), Cipulir, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta
– Height: 20 cm

2. Jalan Kemang Utara IX, Bangka, South Jakarta
– Height: 25 cm

BPBD DKI is deploying staff to monitor water conditions in each district and coordinating elements of the SDA Service, Bina Marga Service, and Gulkarmat Service to soak up the puddles and ensure that the water lines are works properly with local village heads and sub-district heads. The water is intended to recede quickly.

BPBD DKI appealed to the public to be cautious and vigilant about the possibility of being flooded. In an emergency, call the 112 telephone number immediately. This service is free and works 24 hours a day.
