One of the organs of the body that is also affected by Covid-19 is the eye.

A study conducted in Hong Kong found that 1 in 5 Covid-19 survivors experienced one of the symptoms dry eyesthat is blurred vision or itching.

Researchers from the Chinese University of Hong Kong also found the risk of dry eyes, which is related to the severity of the infection.

The dry eyes experienced by Covid-19 survivors certainly have a significant impact on their daily activities.

Reporting from TODAY, the research team from the department of ophthalmology and visual sciences evaluated 228 Covid-19 patients who recovered, about a month to three months after being diagnosed in 2020.

Then compared with 109 participants who are healthy and have never been infected by the virus.

They found that Covid-19 survivors had a higher risk of experiencing symptoms associated with dry eye disease.

At least about 21.5% had one indication related to the condition.
