3. Hygiene and Health Management during Menstruation
Sanitary napkins can be disposable or reusable. Pads should be changed regularly, a maximum of once every 4 hours, even if the bleeding is only a little. Often the child waits for full blood in the pad or up to 6 hours or more. This can cause reproductive tract infections, urinary tract infections, and skin irritation. This is because the blood that comes out during menstruation contains bacteria which have been duplicated within 30 minutes, so that within 1-2 hours the bacteria will have a lot.
In order not to become a source of disease transmission, sanitary napkins must be disposed of in the right way, namely by wrapping. If there is a lot of blood, it is better to wash the pads with running water first, then wrap them and throw them in a closed trash can.
