1. FC Union Berlin has loaned attacker Jordan Siebatcheu to Borussia Mönchengladbach for the current season. The two Bundesliga clubs announced this on Thursday.
The Gladbacher will also receive a purchase option. In agreement with Union, the 27-year-old had already trained with Gerardo Seoane’s team on Thursday morning.
“Jordan played many games for us and scored important goals. Nevertheless, the current situation with many offensive players has now meant that we have agreed to a loan,” said Oliver Ruhnert, Union’s managing director for professional football men, in the Köpenicker press release.
In the summer of 2022, Union had brought the American from Switzerland from Young Boys Bern for six million euros, where he had become top scorer in the first division with 22 goals. In 44 games in the Bundesliga, Europa League and DFB Cup, Jordan scored five goals and three assists for the Berliners.
