At the match between 1. FC Nuremberg and 1. FC Magdeburg on Saturday (0:4), the club fans reacted with signs such as “Club pride instead of hipster posing. Niklas Wilson, you’re shit, like the FCB” and “Wilson, piss off, you Bayern pig.”
Many fans are asking themselves: Why was the Nuremberg professional wearing the rival’s jersey?
Due to his connection to football and his active social media presence, Sommer is often seen wearing different football jerseys. The picture in the Bayern jersey was part of a photo shoot, as Sommer himself says.
He has been successful as an influencer off the pitch for several years and has over 900,000 followers on the streaming platform Twitch. In addition to his work as a streamer, he is involved in the fashion label “ére studios” and is also part of the Icon League, the new small-field league run by Toni Kroos (34) and Elias Nerlich (26).
